What's New for 2023 Flavour Fest, The South West's Largest Food and Drink Festival.

The South West’s largest food and drink festival is returning to the city centre on Friday 26th May for a three-day feast for all the senses. Flavour Fest is now in its 19th year, celebrating some of the best regional produce and world cuisine to tickle your tastebuds.

This year, we have some exciting features for you to enjoy and make the 2023 Flavour Fest our best one yet. The amazing team from Boogey Knights – your local reclamation and government surplus centre, are making and providing the seating area for all to enjoy. The champions of sustainability will be using materials which would otherwise go to waste, and we cannot wait to see what they come up with.

The larger and improved bar and seating area will be situated closer to our popular Cookery Theatre so you can enjoy the entertainment while you sample and taste the delicious food and beverages on offer.

New for 2023 is also the addition of live music. We have cherry-picked fantastic local talent to create a real festival atmosphere right here in Plymouth City Centre. Some of the highlight performances include The Hot House Combo – a foot-tapping, upbeat swing and jazz inspired by the music of the 1920s, '30s and '40s, and The Busketeers who’ll be putting their famous folk spin on pop and rock favourites. See the full music line-up here and don’t miss a thing.

As well as a new layout and live music, we have some fab new traders joining us this year, including our event sponsor - The Early Bird Bakery, desserts giant Kaspa's, Nepalese food kitchen - Everest Flavours and the popular Barbican Bao, to name the few.

An action-packed Cookery Theatre programme will again see skilled local chefs share their secrets and prepare their favourite mouth-watering dishes. Our popular Ready Steady Cook competition is also back, and this year, the husband and wife duo – Toby & Jo Gorniak will be battling it out with chef Peter Gorton and another willing participant under the watchful eye of BBC Spotlight’s Natalie Cornah.

So come and join us for a delicious feast for all the senses at Flavour Fest 2023! The festival is free to enter and will be open from 10am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We can’t wait to see you there!
